Bewitched
Kentucky Bluegrass
Bewitched (A99-2041) is a compact type with a low compact growth
habit which makes it an excellent candidate for golf course fairways
and sod farms due to it’s reduced vertical growth rates
and 1/2 inch height of cut. Bewitched is excellent for blending
with America types and Midnight types because it possesses disease
resistance which the other types do not.

Blackberry
Kentucky Bluegrass
Blackberry (A99-3108) is an America Type Bluegrass. Within
the group of compact types, this cultivar exhibits similar growth
and performance characteristics of the variety “America”.
Blackberry has a higher density and finer leaf texture than
most other compact types. It’s low, compact growth makes
for excellent turf including golf course fairways because it
can be mowed at 1/2 inch cutting height. While good in shade,
Blackberry possesses moderate winter dormancy and high summer
patch and powdery mildew resistance.

Boomerang
This new bluegrass is tops in genetic color and fine texture. Comparable
in turf quality to Midnight Kentucky Bluegrass, this poa pratensis has
heat and drought tolerance, and exceptional resistance to diseases like
dollar spot and summer patch. Comparative tests show that this variety
will shine under different management regimes wherever bluegrasses are
adapted.

Intrigue
Chewings Fescue
Intrigue (DDE) Fescue (festuca Rubra) is a turf type cultivar selected
from 36 progenies of which contained the Epichloe Endophyte. These
clones trace their origins to plans selected from plants originally
selected from old turf of the Northeastern region of the United
States starting in 1962. Selected clones were chosen based on attractive,
rich, dark-green color, disease resistance, and high shoot density
with a lower growing turf type growth profile.

Minotaur
Minotaur is the first commercial cross between Blue fescue and Hard
Fescue. It is an advanced generation synthetic cultivar that produces
a dense tufted turf with a green to blue green foliage. The high
levels of endophyte and short plant height and flag leaf length
make it an excellent low maintenance grass.

Manhattan
5 GLR
The legend for top performance continues...
Manhattan 5, an elite turfgrass variety with a high
endophyte level, darker green color, better summer
color retention and improved rust resistance. Fine
leaf texture with lower growing habit. Improved mowing
quality, and improved tiller density for greater wear
tolerance. The best just got better!

Pizzazz
PIZZAZZ promises to set the standard for the next decade. Its dark
green color and dense turf make it an attractive choice for parks,
home lawn, and golf courses. Clonal selections contained high levels
of endophytes, and this synthetic variety is lower growing than
many older varieties.
|

|
Promise
The new selection has unusually dark-green color and a high endophyte
count. It produces lush green turf under various soil types and
climatological conditions. As a single variety, or in blends, Promise
represents the culmination of Perennial Ryegrass breeding to date.

Protege
GLR
Improved turf quality, improved gray leaf spot resistance, dark green color,
and a high percentage of neotyphodium endophytes. |

|
Prowler
This lolium Perenne produces a dark-green, fine textured turf. Clones
were selected based on their exceptional heat tolerance and mowability.
Prowler has a high percentage of endophytes and quick establishment,
making this an ideal choice for permanent turf wherever perennial
ryegrasses thrive.

Type Tall Fescue |

|
Finesse
Finesse has very dark green color, brown patch resistance, a leafy
lower turf-type growth habit, finer leaves, and exceptional turf
density. From the same program that brought you Millennium tall
fescue, Finesse also has improved resistance to leaf spot, tolerance
of heat and drought, and shows excellent seed vigor. It has a high
level of beneficial endophytes that have proven to enhance the performance
of turf especially under stressful conditions.
|

|
Focus
A fourth generation turf-type, Focus is intended for use on discerning
sod farms, parks, golf courses, and home lawns wherever fescues are
adapted. Focus is darker, finer, and more drought tolerant than other
tall fescues. Add to this a high level of endophyte and a near freedom
from disease. This makes Focus one of the lowest maintenance tall
fescues available.
