Minotaur hard fescue from Turf Merchants is the first commercial cross between hard fescue and blue fescue!

Minotaur produces a fine, dense, low-growing turf with a bluish-green color. Research has shown that hard and blue fescues maintain better summer quality than chewings or creeping red fescue grown in full sun.

Minotaur is the ideal low maintenance turfgrass which required less mowing, less fertilizer and watering, and had excellent shade tolerance. Minotaur is also highly endophytic for increased stress tolerance. Use Minotaur on roadsides, golf course roughs, or shady areas wherever hard fescues are adapted.
