KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS
Dark Green, Highly Shade Tolerant, Ideal for Blending or as a Monoculture.
The ABLE 1 Advantage:
Ranked at the top among the best bluegrass varieties. Able-1 has outstanding shade tolerance and uniform growth characteristics. These qualities alone make Able 1 a superb variety for planting as a monoculture. Used in blends, it improves resistance to rest, leaf spot, and summer patch, as well as adds deep color to lighter varieties. It has demonstrated a uniform density, even when mowed a 3/4” height.
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE calls Able 1 “... Very dark green color, medium-fine texture, high density, leafy appearance.” August 1987
