Certified Barracuda Redtop establishes quickly and performs well under moderate to low fertility. This variety of Redtop seed wil grow under a greater variety of conditions than other grass seeds. Barracuda will grow on soils very poor in lime and is drought tolerant.

Certified Barracuda Redtop is a perennial grass with a creeping habit of growth, which makes a coarse, loose turf. Barracuda is a deeper darker shade of green in color than common redtop. Barracuda provides a dense turf with excellent mowing qualities.

Certified Barracuda Redtop has approximately 5,465,060 seeds per pound. The recommended seeding rate is 45 to 90 pounds per acre or one-two pounds per 1,000 square feet. Time of seeding recommended is in February through May or August through October.
