Bonsai 3000 is the next variety in the Bonsai series that has been bred for improved disease resistance and turf quality over earlier varieties. The plant progeny that became Bonsai 3000 produced lower growing turfs with finer leaves, greater density, darker color and greater tolerance of close mowing.
Bonsai 3000 continues the tradition of reduced maintenance tall fescue lawns while improving the overall attractiveness of the turf it produces. Bonsai 3000 was selected for its freedom from stem rust and leaf spot, and improved drought tolerance. High shoot density and aggressive tillering were also keys in the development of this next generation dwarf fescue.
