CELESTIAL Strong Creeping Fescue represents the latest generation of synthetic fine fescue cultivars that promise to expand greatly the usage of this species. At home in sun or partial shade, CELESTIAL represents that best in low maintenance turfs for use in home lawns, parks, and golf courses. Because of its fine leaf texture and darkest of green colors, it is highly recommended that CELESTIAL be included in mixtures with Perennial Ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass up to 40%.

CELESTIAL shows strong seedling vigor upon emergence and was rated at the top of its class in spring green-up, and spring & summer density. It has the best winter color and is resistant to many turf diseases such as leaf spot and red thread.

In environmentally sensitive areas or on golf course roughs for that “dunes” look, CELESTIAL was the top rated fine fescue when rated under non-mowed conditions, making it do “double-duty” as an ornamental grass!
