Heat and Drought Tolerant
Turf Gem II will withstand hot summer temperatures and required less water than most other types of grasses.

Disease Tolerant
Individual varieties in Turf Gem II has improved resistance to leaf spot, brown patch and other plant diseases and insects. Plus, because Turf Gem II is a blend, it has a wider tolerance to nay disease than a single variety would.

Traffic Tolerant
Turf Gem II's high density turf performs well even under heavy traffic. It has 5-6 times more tillers than Kentucky 31 Fescue*

Establishment of Turf Gem II

Turf Gem II will tolerate a soil ph range of 4.5 to 8.0 (5.5 to 6.5 is more suitable in humid regions). To prepare soil, till or spade to a depth of 2" - 4". Break up dirt clogs, add soil amendments and level if necessary.

Broadcast seed evenly over the prepared area. Rake, roll-in lightly, and cover with a layer of organic mulch, 1/8" - 1/4" deep.

Compact the entire area again with a roller one-quarter to one-half full of water.

Thoroughly water the seeded area. Ideally the top layer of soil should be kept constantly moist until the grass is established.

Mow to height of 1 1/2" to 3", with 2" to 3" being the preferred cutting height.
